To celebrate and honor the talent of the bartenders and businesses that support such cocktail innovation, Old Town Business has taken it upon themselves to establish Old Town Cocktail: the celebration of all things cocktail.

Throughout Old Town Cocktail Week there will be seminars, themed events, and celebrations to engage with local establishments and the ever-growing cocktail culture.
Each year Old Town Business will continually grow and evolve the events that will be held to reflect the cocktail community here in Old Town, Alexandria.

As the official kickoff to Old Town Cocktail Week, Art on the Rocks 2023 challenges local mixologists and chefs to each create the most artistic cocktail & appetizer pairing, inspired by a piece of art by a local Art League artist. Art on the Rocks is a festive fundraiser that helps support the local arts community while spotlighting our fabulous local bar restaurants in Alexandria.

For our second Chef’s Supper Club, Executive Chef Tomas Chavarria is collaborating with Star Hill Farm of Maker’s Mark Distillery in Loretto, KY. During this 3-course dinner experience, not only will guests enjoy the freshest ingredients straight from the farm but perfect pairings of Marker’s Mark tastings and cocktails. Star Hill Farm champions regenerative farming practices throughout its land to enhance the soil, reduce carbon emissions and maximize flavor of everything the farm yields. Beyond delicious dishes and drinks, guests will learn about the ingredients used in each dish and how these farming practices influence the distillery as well. Here, you get to participate in crafting a special cocktail led by one of Old Town’s talented bartenders; then you get to hear from them, a retail guest, and a spirits expert that creates the spirit used in your drink!
