ALX Dog Walk

Bring your furry friend and walk with us as we educate members of the DMV community about plastic-free and sustainable living while also helping to protect and beautify the City of Alexandria’s environment!
What: ALX Dog Walk, the DMV’s Biggest Dog Walk!
When: Saturday, April 29, 8 am – 11 am!
Where: Old Town Alexandria’s Oronoco Bay Park: Walkers and dogs Enjoy a 2-Mile Walk Down Historic Union St and Return to the Park Along the Beautiful Waterfront Walk for the Awards Celebration of Music, Prizes, Treats, Kids Activities, Dog Fun, and Much More!
Each registered walker receives one heck of a Goodie Bag with awesome sustainable items, a t-shirt, one free raffle ticket for incredible prizes, and a dog bandana.
DOG COMPETITION: Dogs compete for: Best Groomed, Best Personality, Twinsie (dog that resembles its owner!), Best Upcycled Costume, Biggest Ears, and Fluffiest Tail. Winners receive a $100 gift card and a one-year supply of Earth Breeze laundry detergent valued at $250! Must be present at the Awards Ceremony to win!
PRE-EVENT CHECK-IN: To make your participation easier, we’re offering a pre-event check-in event on 4/26, 12 pm – 7 pm, at PASS LLC, 403 N Henry St, Old Town Alexandria, VA. Check-in and grab your goodie bag, t-shirt, and doggie bandana!
