Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to GIVE BACK to our community non-profits and organizations on Tuesday, November 29th.

This year our two organizations will be Rosie’s Riveters and ALIVE!

Rosie Riveters works to engage and inspire preschool to middle-school girls in STEM and equip them with an enduring growth mindset. We offer interactive and hands-on programs that provide girls from diverse backgrounds with a fun space to imagine, learn, and play. While our programs focus on the joy of STEM, they also emphasize productive struggle in order to build participants’ critical thinking and overall confidence.

ALIVE! is the oldest and largest private safety net in the City of Alexandria, VA dedicated to fighting poverty and hunger.

ALIVE! was founded in 1969 as Alexandria Involved Ecumenically by 14 faith communities in response to rising levels of poverty in the City of Alexandria. An interfaith organization, ALIVE! has grown to 50 member congregations.
