Alexandria is known for its generosity. We need to work together to make sure our nonprofits and businesses all succeed. Join us for Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.
Get ready to shop at your favorite store, order a meal and do good all at the same time! On Tuesday, Dec. 1, Alexandria’s stores and restaurants will donate a percentage of their sales to 5 local charities. For every meal you order or purchase you make, these Alexandria nonprofits will receive a percentage of that purchase.
The Non-Profits we are contributing towards for this event include: Alexandria Tutoring Consortium, ALIVE, Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, Four Mile Run Conservatory Foundation, and Neighborhood Health.

Businesses can sign up through the form below.
Due to each POS, Point of Sale System, each retailer/restaurant is encouraged to participate as best as you can…..so, if your POS can only accommodate tracking 1 or 2 organizations, then may we suggest you choose which organization you would like to donate a % to the charity. We ask that you tally up the total amount at the end of the one day of giving on Tuesday, Dec. 1, and mail a check directly to the participating organization. Old Town Business will circle back with you so we have a record of your giving, and to which organization.
Please be advised that each participating organization and ACT for Alexandria will be promoting this program, and encouraging their donors to shop and to dine in Old Town Alexandria.
