Galactic Panther – “BENEVOLENT IRON THUNDER MOTHER” Opening

Galactic Panther gallery is excited to share that we will host an opening reception for a contemporary art exhibit entitled “BENEVOLENT IRON THUNDER MOTHER” on Saturday, April 22nd from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. This exhibit represents a dozen local, national, and international contemporary visual artists. Live music will be provided by The Sebastions & Jah Messenger Sound. This celebration is free, open to the public, and locally catered. Donations are gratefully accepted, and all artwork will be for sale.

This exhibit represents a diverse group of artists with unique perspectives. There are some returning Galactic Panther art stars such as Mark Mothersbaugh who is most famously known for his pioneering band DEVO. For this exhibit he and powerhouse printmaker Joseph Lupo are both re-contextualizing appropriated imagery. There are also several new artists working in a wide range of media such as Deerjerk who is well known for carving tattoo influenced imagery into wood, and Campaniello Salvatore whose brut work is soaked in the sweat & vino of the streets of Florence, Italy. Join us to get to know all of the artists! The exhibit will remain on view into June.
